FBI analyst Grace Ashcroft investigates a series of mysterious deaths linked to Raccoon City Syndrome and is drawn to the abandoned hotel where her mother was killed. After being abducted by rogue scientist Victor Gideon, she becomes entangled in a deadly search for Elpis, a supposed bioweapon created by Oswell E. Spencer. Meanwhile, infected agent Leon S. Kennedy pursues her through a zombie outbreak and into the ruins of Raccoon City, where shocking truths about her past and Elpis are revealed. In a final confrontation, Elpis is uncovered as a cure rather than a weapon, leading to a desperate battle for survival that will determine the fate of everyone involved.
