Lava burns houses and floods Grindavik highway 43, the major connection line to Reykjavik.

First houses of Grindavik go under lava. Lava floods road 43 which connects the city with airport and Reykjavik. New fissure opened up right next to houses of Grindavik at 12:30 pm. The Volcanic Eruption started this morning around 8 am Icelandic time southeast of Hagafell mountain, north of Grindavik and the new lava wall which has not been completed. Lava is running towards the machinery which had been used to build the wall. Its smaller eruption comparing to December one. It can be observed from this livecam at Thorbjorn volcano north of Grindavik:
