Don't Skip This Place In MEXICO | Cenote Suytun, Pink Lakes, Rio Lagartos, Valladolid

Seli & I went on a journey to Mexico's most Instagram-worthy city. Let me tell you we are so happy we didn't skip this place in Mexico. Valladolid is a Gem!
We compiled a list of what you should see when you are in Valladolid. Whether it's Cenotes, Pink Lakes, or exploring the beautiful city this place has it all.

First go to the center square of the city called: Parque Principal - Francisco Canton Rosado. This spot in the city is very colorful and vibrant. The Park is located in between the street boxed in like a square with many benches, lovers chairs, and a great view of the city center. Local vendors sell cold refreshments, snacks, and local food in the park. It is a great place to sit and relax.

We then encourage you to walk around the city called Centro Historico. You will find many stores, coffee shops, restaurants, and beautiful architecture.

Next renting bikes or scooters can vastly improve your stay as many of the cenotes are very long walks plus how cool is it to ride on a light blue scooter in a picturesque city. The bikes we got were $80 pesos ($4 USD) for 12 hours.

Next on the list is visiting Cenotes we saw Cenote Suytun one of the most photographed Cenotes in Mexico and Cenote Zaci. These two and many others are all over the city of Valladolid.

Another great thing would be to go on a day trip to Rio Lagartos and Los Colorados. We found this tour on AirBnB and love it. They take you on a boat through the mangroves to see Crocodiles, Pelicans, and flamingos. You will also have a chance to take a Mayan Mudbath. I highly recommend it.

Finally one of the best Archeological places in Valladolid is Ek Balam. It is an ancient Mayan city that still has many structures still standing. You even climb to the top of one of their tallest buildings. If you don't like heights this may not be for you because you will be above the trees. A great view but little support walking on the very narrow steps.
