HOW TO FIX P0472 OBD II ERROR CODE - Exhaust Pressure Sensor A Low - Diesel Power

Diesel and turbo owners dealing with a P0472 code often experience poor performance and a soot filter that won't regenerate. This code indicates a low input from the Exhaust Pressure Sensor A, which the computer uses to manage turbo boost and exhaust backpressure. When this signal is lost, the system goes into a protective mode to prevent damage. In this video, I demonstrate how to test the sensor circuit using a voltmeter to look for the required 5-volt reference signal. We check for common issues like broken or melted wires near the hot exhaust manifold. I also explain how to inspect the sensor connector for corrosion that kills the signal. If the electrical side checks out, I show you how to identify a failed sensor versus a clogged tube. Fixing this is crucial for fuel economy and preventing your DPF from getting completely plugged, which is a very expensive repair to deal with later.
