How to be a Cartoon in a Webcam Application on macOS using Adobe Character Animator

In this Mac-specific tutorial, I show you how you can become a cartoon in a webcam application like Zoom or Google Hangouts using Character Animator and the free application CamTwist.

1. Install Adobe Character Animator (https://www.adobe.com/products/charac...)
2. Download and install CamTwist (http://camtwiststudio.com/download/)
3. In Character Animator's Live Output Preferences, make sure that "Enable Mercury Transmit and Syphon" is checked
4. Run CamTwist
5. In CamTwist, select "Syphon" and click "Select" below it
6. Choose "Adobe Character Animator" which should show up as a "Syphon Server" choice under Settings
7. Run your webcam software(e.g., Zoom or Google Hangouts, etc.) and choose "CamTwist" as your webcam video source.
