In this video, we break down BitcoinVM on Metal Blockchain, a Bitcoin-style execution environment that preserves Bitcoin’s familiar UTXO and scripting model while shifting consensus finality to a Proof-of-Stake system using Snowman.

This architecture separates execution from consensus:

Bitcoin-style transaction logic (UTXO, scripts, validation)

Validator-driven finality on Metal Blockchain

No Proof-of-Work mining

Faster finality and dramatically lower energy requirements

Familiar Bitcoin tooling with modern infrastructure guarantees

BitcoinVM is not Bitcoin mainnet and does not attempt to replace it. Instead, it explores a pragmatic evolution: preserving Bitcoin’s transaction discipline while addressing mining concentration, energy intensity, and operational scalability.

This is an active implementation in progress and represents a serious engineering attempt to adapt Bitcoin’s strengths to modern infrastructure realities.
