Here at HDD Recovery Services, we are used to seeing flash drives of all different sizes, brands, and types. Just as any other product, flash drives have premium brands and poor quality ones. Premium brand devices get put through a tougher quality control test, whereas poor quality devices are usually built from what premium brands classified as failed. Instead of throwing away these failed memory devices, premium brands sell them to refurbishing companies, who later patch them and repurpose them for their poor quality productions. Today's case is not an exception, we have a Verbatim Store and Go that runs on an Alcor controller, but instead of the NAND in a traditional package (TSOP, LGA, BGA) we have a failed Sandisk SD card. Flash drives like that are usually made out of the cheapest parts and consumables. In this video, we will show the process of troubleshooting the failed flash drive, usb flash drive repair, and get access to the data that the client had lost.
