Fraser Island, off the Queensland coast, is the worlds largest sand island stretching over 120km. Featuring the pure silica sand and crystal clear fresh water of Lake McKenzie, the wreck of the ocean liner SS Maheno washed ashore by a cyclone in 1935 and 75-Mile Beach. World Heritage Area.
