Design & Architecture: Abbey Wood Elizabeth line station

The new Abbey Wood station is the southeastern terminus of the Elizabeth line and includes two island platforms that enable direct interchange between the North Kent line and the Elizabeth line. The station entrance is elevated above the railway, connecting to the Harrow Manorway flyover for easy onward journeys by bus. The station is an accessible, safe, and welcoming space, providing a thoroughfare between the railway and pedestrian spaces on either side. The design of the station helps to create a strong civic centre for the area.

Join Jan Kroes, Director at Fereday Pollard, to learn more about how the station utilises natural materials designed to last, how it helps make onward journeys easier, and how it provides a civic focus for the local area.
