Flame Throwing Wheelchair - COOLEST THING I'VE EVER MADE EP16

Flame Throwers and wheelchairs are two things that usually don't go together...unless you're Lance Greathouse. Lance works as a dental repairman during the day but spends his spare time building all sorts of amazing science fiction themed creations. A few years ago he was making massive fire sculptures for Burning Man, custom hot rods and competing on "Robot Wars", but then tragedy struck. His brother and best friend Brent was diagnosed with a form of Parkinson's disease and was confined to a wheelchair. Lance decided to build his brother a custom tank wheelchair. The custom chair became a conversation piece and his brother loved that the attention was no longer initially on his illness, but rather the chair. The chair became a perfect icebreaker when meeting people and felt like something fun as opposed to a burden. Lance decided to make other people custom chairs (including the flame throwing wheelchair!) and eventually things morphed into Wheelchair Labs, an organization that helps people who don't have resources get a regular wheelchair. It does so free of charge and is funded by donations.
