For many simmers, Sims 2 is the iconic game in the series that introduced dynamic gameplay, an attraction system, and hours of fun--and with many frustrated with lackluster gameplay in Sims 4, many simmers that can, have started playing and even streaming Sims 2. But how exactly was Sims 2 developed, and how could that process explain some of the key differences between Sims 2 and Sims 4?

Today I’m bringing you an unexpected Q&A from a former Sims 2 developer that may provide insight why Sims 2 remains a favorite for so many-- and may give us something to think about when it comes to Sims 4, or even the future of the franchise.
