Why Is Genesis 6:1-4 NOT Referring To The Sons of Seth?

Any human interpretation of the sons of God in Genesis 6 that ignores the original context for those verses - and that context is Mesopotamian religion, (specifically, the Apkallu story), is by definition out of context. If you have a commentary that is taking some other view that doesn't interact with the Apkallu material, it is obsolete, by virtue of the research that's been done more recently. Check it out!
