Reach the Sky was founded in 1997 and published two EPs in 1999; Her full-length debut, So Far From Home, followed in the same year on Victory Records. [1] after the release of So Far From Home Dan Tammik left the band and guitarist Brendan Maguire took over the bass. [2] Her second single, Friends, Lies, and the End of the World, appeared in 2001 and toured Canada after the album's release. [3] in 2002 her debut EP was remastered and reissued with bonus tracks. They separated in 2003. In 2009 they reformed with a slightly different line-up: Ian, Stu, Bob and Zach Jordan from Bane.

Bob became a member of Bane and Ian later founded Stand Accused. Stu became a tour manager, worked with Sick of it All, Dropkick Murphys and the Mighty Bosstones. He currently plays in Bane.
