We Have A Big Problem...

After the wildfire burned through our property, every single surviving tree and new green shoot became incredibly precious to us. This land is trying to heal, and we are doing everything we can to help it recover.
The problem? Our goats don't see a fragile, regenerating ecosystem—they just see a buffet right at mouth level. 🤦‍♂️
If they strip the bark from the surviving trees or eat the tops off the new growth, it stops the recovery process right in its tracks. In today’s video, we are attemrpong to build urgent containment lines and protecting our most vital trees before the goats do irreversible damage to the post-fire regrowth. It’s a delicate balance of using them to clear unwanted brush and feeding them for free while keeping them away from the future forest.
