Redux: Duratec HE thermostat - Dorman review, spring vs worm hose clamps, & reusing coolant

Ford Duratec HE 2.0 (Mazda LF) thermostat, redux: a mini-review of the Dorman version; how to reuse old coolant; and musings on both the merits of spring hose clamps (hint: they're better), and using the right tools (vise grips) for the job.

Last time I replaced the damn 'stat, the Chinese eBay version failed electrically, plus the worm clamps I used started to leak a little. This video is just ramblings on my second attempt.

Dorman thermostat (cheaper than Ford/Motorcraft, especially the heated version) Amazon link: http://amzn.to/2mI1O0T

Recommended: If you don't want to take the risk with the cheapie, here is the Ford/Motorcraft one: http://amzn.to/2nEh1Rs

And if you don't need the heated version (no electrical connector): http://amzn.to/2nzxGbY

Amazon.co.uk doesn't list the Dorman 'stat. Look here: http://amzn.to/2n9Nam1
