Demetrious Johnson overcame a slow start to defeat Tatsumitsu Wada at ONE: DAWN OF HEROES and advance to the finals of the ONE Flyweight World Grand Prix. In the first frame, the Japanese contender was able to bring Johnson down to the ground, take his back and control much of the proceedings on the mat. However, it did not take long for the flyweight icon to readjust his strategy in the coming rounds and he was able to utilize his world-class ground game to overpower his Japanese opponent while doing significant damage from the top position. After three pulsating rounds of action, all three judges ruled in favor of “Mighty Mouse” who now faces Filipino phenom Danny Kingad in the final at ONE: CENTURY.
