Part of growing up is learning how to follow rules and that’s true even if you’re determined to make it as a child star in the entertainment industry! Casting kids may not sound that difficult but the reality is that it’s a totally different experience than hiring adults to star in a movie. And young adults are one thing but what about when it comes to hiring babies? We’ll talk about the complex audition process these kids have to go through and why Child’s Play star Gabriel Bateman relies so heavily on his improv abilities. Scary content like Stranger Things and Stephen King’s IT doesn’t mean the actors can’t have fun behind the scenes, and stars like Sophia Lillis, and Finn Wolfhard have talked about the pros and cons of the industry. This Is Us is full of actors like Eris Baker and Faithe Herman who couldn’t be more excited about their roles but Lexi Rabe who plays Morgan Stark in Avengers: Endgame has some real horror stories. Game of Thrones deals with some pretty heavy content and they struggled before finding stars like Maisie Williams and Sophie Turner.
