Matrah Souq is one of the oldest markets in Oman, dating back about two hundred years. Its antiquity has perhaps increased the extent of its beauty, magic and allure.

You cannot see Matrah Souq from the outside, as it stretched deep within the city. The market starts at a gate facing the Sea of Oman and Matrah Corniche, and ends with another gate in the city’s old quarters that usually receive the majority of visitors coming from other Omani towns and villages.

Who is Ishaq Mustaqim?

Ishaq Mustaqim is an ex criminal who converted to Islam in 2010. His mother is Swiss and his father is Haitian. He grew up in Canada where, at a very young age, got a big interest in the criminal lifestyle. He used all of his knowledge and skills which led him to live like a millionaire. But life isn’t great when you live like an outlaw. He found himself guilty of many crimes and was taken to prison. In the darkest place of earth, he met the greatest person who led him to Islam. Ishaq Mustaqim was then born, and his life totally changed, for the better. He is now involved in the Dawah community of his country and helped many young Muslims and non-Muslims to avoid the temptations of the unlawful and excessive life.
