The Maharashtra Assembly on Wednesday is set to pronounce the crucial verdict on the disqualification petitions against Chief Minister Eknath Shinde and other MLAs of Shiv Sena. The verdict will be pronounced by Legislative Assembly Speaker Rahul Narwekar.
The cross-petitions were filed by rival Sena factions.
Ahead of the verdict, an urgent meeting between Chief Minister Shinde and his deputies Devendra Fadnavis and Ajit Pawar was underway at the Chief Minister's official residence, Varsha bungalow, late on Tuesday.
