Shamji pleads guilty to 2nd-degree murder of physician wife

Toronto neurosurgeon Mohammed Shamji has pleaded guilty to second-degree murder in the death of his physician wife Dr. Elana Fric in 2016 — two days after she filed for divorce. The world-renowned neurosurgeon appeared for a pretrial hearing in Ontario Superior Court on Monday morning.
