The importance of hope when a child has dementia

Prof. Kenneth Nunn, Paediatric Neuropsychiatrist, discusses the importance of taking a different set of approaches when working with families impacted by childhood dementia. He discusses the importance of truthfulness, trust and being present for families and helping them to assemble a form of hope. Sam, father to Caleb, shares what hope meant for his family. Despite Caleb’s condition being life-limiting, he shares the many opportunities to give families like his hope and empathy.
