US Military Scholar Hails Modern Day Relevance of Classic Chinese Text

David M. Finkelstein, who is also a long-time scholar on Chinese and Asian affairs, was one of the guest speakers at a seminar held on Sunday as part of the 10th Beijing Xiangshan Forum, a gathering dedicated to promoting exchanges and cooperation among defense authorities, international organizations and scholars.

Themed "Sun Tzu's Art of War and Current International Security Challenges",the seminar saw attendees hold in-depth discussions regarding how the principles contained in the renowned work by the ancient Chinese military strategist Sun Tzu can provide the world with insights on tackling major security challenges of the day.
