Making a Gameboy Macro from a Nintendo DS Lite, with BoxyPixel's Aluminum Faceplate!
Hello, everyone! It feels like it's been forever (and it has!), but I am back! And I'm here to showcase an awesome product made by Boxy Pixel - the machined aluminum Game Boy Macro faceplate!
This video is not sponsored by anyone. I have always wanted to get one of their awesome looking aluminum faceplates for my Macro. I finally got around to ordering one, and I figured, why not make a video out of the build process while I'm at it?
So, today we take a look at the process necessary to build a Game Boy Macro, using Boxy Pixel's aluminum faceplate, combined with a custom glass screen lens, and a Nintendo Switch speaker to round out the whole package. I'll walk you through the process from start to finish (including the problems encountered along the way!), so you to could build one of these for yourself, if you are interested in it.
Note that I don't go quite into as much of the finer details of building a Macro in this video, like I did in my original one. I still cover the entire process, but some of the more detailed points are skipped over to help keep the video a bit more concise.
Like what you see? Please consider subscribing, if you haven't yet! The goal of 1,000 subscribers is within reach! I never imagined I'd hit that goal, so thank you for subscribing! Also, please consider leaving a comment with any future products you'd be interested in watching a review or build video on.
Thanks for watching!
*PS* - Also, in watching my video back during editing, I realized that I enjoy using a bunch of "filler" words to fill in some dead air when talking; words like "so", "basically", etc. Apparently it's a bad habit that comes with being a bit nervous when filming these videos.
So, basically... I'm working on trying to be cognizant of that in the future, and will be trying to limit that crutch in future videos! :)
