How to remove late payment - 30 possible reasons to dispute late payment

Send to a creditor goodwill letter using a good reason why the payment was late and why it would not happen again. (Only works with open accounts that are current) Mortgage lates can be removed using The Real Estate Settlement Procedures Act of 1974 (RESPA) Specifically section 12 CFR 1024.39(a) where lender failed to establish a live contact with either one of the borrowers on this loan within the first 36 days of a payment delinquency.

After looking into this matter further, it’s been discovered that your company has violated The Real Estate Settlement Procedures Act of 1974 (RESPA).

Specifically section 12 CFR 1024.39(a) where your company failed to establish a live contact with either one of the borrowers on this loan within the first 36 days of a payment delinquency.

Before we take this matter further to Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) we wanted to ask you to amend your late reporting to all three credit bureaus on both of our credit files as soon as possible and notify us in writing once it’s done.

Note: The important thing to remember is, the very first thing you want to do is remove ALL incorrect, outdated, or conflicting personal information from your clients’ credit reports. Removing incorrect/outdated personal information on your credit report will get you better results on ALL of your other credit disputes.
