Ultimate Raspberry Pi 4 Rig: M.2 SSD & ICE Tower
Raspberry Pi 4 rig with M.2 SATA boot SSD, ICE Tower cooler, and lots of heavy brass! This video is a voyage of discovery in search of an ultimate, steampunk Pi 4 configuration. Well, something like that.
In addition to a RaspberryPi 4 8GB model, parts used in the build (and possible international alternatives) are as follows:
ICE Tower cooler from 52 Pi: Amazon.com: https://amzn.to/3jjGJHA Amazon.co.uk: http://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B07V35V1CH/ref=nosimtag=explainin-21 (affiliate links).
M2.5 brass standoff kit:

WD Green 120GB M.2 SATA SSD:

USB 3.0 M.2 SATA enclosure (the model I used was from ADWITS):
Amazon.co.uk: http://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B089SVKQ4M/ref=nosimtag=explainin-21 (affiliate link) There are lots of similar devices available, but note that not all USB SATA enclosures will boot on a Raspberry Pi 4.
Short, angled USB extension cable -- I started out with a down-angle, but ended up using an up:

The 200mm x 100mm x 2mm brass plate I used was purchased from e-Bay.
To boot from a USB drive, at the time of making this video the Raspberry Pi 4 requires a firmware update. I demonstrate in this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2zrwjGcyM5s
Finally, I covered the free Inkscape drawing package in this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vgCUcnezxEc
