P-47 Thunderbolt Pt. 1A Throttle and Boost Lever Use
Moving the throttle and boost levers together can cost you 300 horsepower in this plane! Find out why, how to use the levers, and when to use the throttle and boost lever interconnect.
Note, you can certainly operate the throttle and turbo levers together, there is no actual prohibition on that except below 7000 feet on lower octane fuel, but it costs power.
Update: I didn't really expect this video to take off like this. It seems a lot of people had questions about this topic. Had I known that I would have put more time into it, meaning more detail, and more completeness. However the key information is still there, don't run the turbo lever forward of the throttle, and don't link them when max power is needed. Almost anything else you do is going to be OK.
