Olbermann vs. Trump #18: The 100 Cringeworthiest Trump Moments

This is the most evil man in American history, but we are not all dead yet in large part because he's also one of the dumbest. The number of events that would be hilarious in a different context is thousands long. I've distilled them to the top 100 Cringeworthiest.

I must say the list is startling and infinite in its variety. It ranges from the day he didn't know who Frederick Douglass was or that he died in 1895 and assumed he was some kind of contemporary cultural figure, to the saga of his supporter Herman Cain who caught Covid-19 at the Trump event in Tulsa, died of it, but because of the genius of Trump's social media team, Cain's twitter account keeps sending out propaganda, including the claim made by Herman, who is dead, that the reports of the disease's deadliness have been exaggerated.

It goes from confusing "Herd Immunity" and "Herd Mentality" to inventing imaginary awards and imaginary nominations for real awards, and praising health care in countries that don't exist. It is mind-boggling, except if like Trump, you don't really have a mind to begin with.

I think this is that rare piece that provides both a kind of comic relief in this tensest of weekends and yet underscores that we have to get rid of this asshole Tuesday.
