Hello beautiful people,

Here’s a topic of conversation that is very important to me. As a Somali Muslim woman navigating my way through this new journey, I feel that it’s important that we shed light on and have topics of conversation such as these that lean more on the cultural than the Islamic side. We need to be able to distinguish the two! We need to work on normalizing seeking help, setting boundaries and communicating our feelings.

This conversation definitely runs deeper than the duration of this video. I understand that there are definitely many other dynamics at play, which is why we should continue to discuss this and continue to generate more and more conversations similar to this.
