Microsoft Teams new sharing experience for Meetings and Video Chat - May 2021

Microsoft Teams has a new sharing experience when using video chat or a Teams Meeting. Screen sharing is now much easier, particularly the part where you select the sharing source. Sharing was previously available at the bottom of your screen and ran from left to right. The new sharing experience is more compact and runs vertically. Plus, it is directly below the Share icon in Teams. This is a welcomed changed. One feature I love is all your apps are grouped under "Window." If you have Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and other apps running, you see the icons grouped under Window and not all the apps across the bottom of the screen as with the previous sharing experience. Another feature I like is "Included computer sound," which is in the top right next to Share content.

One little note I want to mention is, when you're in a chat, it is called a video call, which is right in the top-right corner of the screen. You won't have the whiteboard, but everything else works the same. If you're in a meeting, which you can see here from the calendar, there's an instant meeting versus a scheduled meeting, which is a new meeting.
