Finally what all the designers have been waiting for, the release of color trends for 2021! 2021's colors of the moment and the ones I am very thrilled to share with you are all rooted in in earth tones. What is new about this palette, is that it mixes cool and warm tones together, creating a feeling and warmth and comfort. Earth tones are huge this year due to the need for all of us to recoil back into our homes and our sanctuaries.
Sherwin Williams is recommending Wishful Blue, according to its color mix forecast for example which is a beautiful blue with warm undertones. It is also recommending, Pure White which is rooted in nature, has earthy tones and is inspired by Scandinavian Design. Finally, Reddened Earth is gorgeous as it matches all other earth tones and espouses rust hues.
Benjamin Moore's chosen color of the year is called Aegean Teal. The twelve hues they are recommending in their 2021 palette radiate warmth and wellbeing. These are colors that make your home feel even more like home.
Behr’s color trend are light warm neutrals such as Almond Whisp, Modern Mocha, Sierra, and Canyon Dusk. All these colors exude calmness and serenity. Light warm neutrals and whites create an inviting feeling in entryways, kitchens and open living spaces.
Finally, PPG's forecasting is rooted in serenity. Everything is about the wellness palette. The hues are restorative and optimistic. My favorite color from PPG is Stone Quarry and Winter Peach. Try Winter Peach on an accent wall and you will never regret it
