The STEM Inventions Kit is a DIY toy I developed over the course of a year that's designed to help kids ages 8 and up practice being inventors, engineers, and innovators with fun and challenging project ideas.

Unlike most "STEM" toys, this one has no tedious step-by-step instructions! Instead, kids get inspired with open-ended design challenges to build cars, walking machines, robots, and more. Use critical thinking, creative problem solving, and determination to achieve the challenges in any way you want. There are some starter ideas to get things started but it's up to you to invent your own solution.

All 10 invention challenges were tested with real kids in a school setting, then fine-tuned to strike the right balance of being a fun challenge.

I also had a blast prototyping the kits! I don't have access to a big factory, so all the parts were designed to be made with a laser cutter and 3D printer, or just off-the-shelf parts. Though eventually I did team up with a production partner to ensure consistent quality of parts.
