Kenosha resident drives through the aftermath of the riots

Shocking footage shows a once-bustling highstreet destroyed in the aftermath of the Kenosha riots.

Resident JR Pratcher, a black man, described his neighbourhood as "desecrated" by violence.

A lot of these businesses, he notes, were covered in Black Lives Matter signs.

The riots and protests in Kenosha, Wisconsin, came after the police shooting of a black man, Jacob Blake, a few days prior.

He was shot in the back seven times, resulting in his likely paralysation.

Tensions have been escalating in the town ever since, despite emergency curfews, with some protestors burning shops and looting businesses.

A 17-year-old has been charged with homicide after two people were shot dead during the third day of protests.

Kyle Rittenhouse, a police cadet and Trump supporter, opened fire on protestors with a semi-automatic rifle.
