HDR Headaches: When Your iPhone Supports HDR, But Your System Doesn’t

HDR, or High Dynamic Range video, has a better ability to capture light than preceding models. It gives your images have sharper contrast and color, serving up a better-looking picture than SDR (Standard Dynamic Range). The biggest complaint you’ll get when using SDR is that the image looks “blown out.”

Jeff Greenberg demystifies all of these questions and more in this short video from OWC. We'll take a look at how to identify HDR footage and how to build a Smart Album. We’ll also cover how to use tools like QuickTime Player 10, and even how to use fantastic open-source tools like Shutter Encoder and VLC Media Player. Let’s take a look!
