My BMW App Not Working - How to Reset Connected Drive

In this video, I’m going to show you what to do if your My BMW Connected Drive app has stopped synchronising with your car.

I noticed after a couple of weeks that the My BMW app had stopped reporting the status of my car. When I tried to lock or unlock the car remotely, the app said something went wrong and it was not able to send the request to the vehicle.

Resetting the BMW connected drive app is a two-stage process; you first need to make sure the apps installed in iDrive are up to date, then you need to reset the app on your phone.

This video shows how to reset the app on an iPhone; however, I expect it is a similar procedure to reset an Android app if you are having the same issue on a Samsung or Google phone.

This video can also help anyone who is trying to install a software update to their car and needs the app to download it, ready to transfer it to the car.
