The Rooswijk part 3: The Legacy of the Rooswijk

This is the third film on the research and excavation of the VOC-ship the Rooswijk, which started in 2017. The Rooswijk sank on 9 January 1740 near the English Coast, one day after its departure. The project, called #Rooswijk1740, is led by the Cultural Heritage Agency of the Netherlands, in collaboration with Historic England. MSDS Marine is the contractor. In 'The Legacy of the Rooswijk,' filmed by Kai Dieho, we show our progress on the conservation of the artefacts found on the Rooswijk, unravelling its history object by object.
