Heald HT1-Sparta 64 Crash Test

Heald’s HT1-Sparta fixed bollard series offer simple, affordable PAS68 security suitable for a range of sites. It is available with stylish stainless steel covers to aid integration with modern architecture, and in two security levels depending on application.

The Sparta 48 has a PAS68 classification of PAS68:7500 (N2) 48/90:0:0; this means that it will halt a 7.5 tonne truck travelling at a speed of 48 kph. The Sparta 80 has a classification of PAS68:7500 (N3) 80/90:10.6/11.1; this means it will halt a 7.5 tonne truck travelling at 80 kph.

As both Sparta bollards were tested as individual units, they are extremely flexible in use. A Sparta bollard can be used on its own to secure a narrow opening, or as part of an array to protect an area of virtually unlimited size. A Sparta array can be arranged around a corner, in an arc or even on a slope where required.

Although the Sparta series require a deeper installation than our surface mount HT1-Matador or shallow mount HT1-Mantis bollards, with an excavation of 650mm they still offer one of the fastest, most efficient installs currently available.
