Two Old school muscle cars go head to head in a 1/4 mile drag race.

Both cars are competing in the Pure Stock Drags, so modifications are limited to porting, blue printing and minor weight reduction without altering the stock appearance. That means stock intake manifold, stock exhaust manifolds and street tires.

The 1970 Yenko Nova Deuce is a very rare piece of muscle car history as only 175 were built. The Yenko Deuce is powered by Chevy's high winding, solid lifter LT-1 small block rated at 360 horsepower and 392 lb-ft of torque. The Yenko Nova's LT-1 is backed by a Muncie 4 speed transmission and a 4.10 positraction rear.

The rare and little known muscle car in the other lane was built by the now defunct American Motors Corporation (AMC). AMC was known for making 4 doors and station wagons, so the little beast was a departure from their family car formula. The 69 SC/Rambler is the video is powered by AMC's 390 cubic inch V8 rated at 315 horsepower, is backed by a 4 speed manual transmission and a 4.10 posi rear.
