The 15-day-long Adivasi Mela-2019 (Tribal Fair) at the Idco Exhibition ground.
The tribal fair has witnessed thousands of visitors in the day before the conclusion.
The visitors have enjoyed the tribal folk dances during the cultural event. They have also purchased various tribal products from various stalls at the Mela.
This year the demands for tribal ornaments were in high, following which the sellers at the stalls have fixed the price of these ornaments from Rs 50 to Rs 1,300.
Moreover, the tribal arts and culture based handicrafts have also lured visitors.
The fair, organised by the SC and ST Development Department, was inaugurated by Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on January 28.
Around 180 stalls, sub-divided into seven categories– Adivasi Village, Adivasi Haat, Food stalls, dance area, tourism site and handicrafts zone– has grabbed the eyeballs of visitors.
The tribal fair has allured the visitors with its multicoloured huts, where kitchen accessories, vegetable gardens, lanterns, livestock such as chickens and goats, are on display.
