In these videos, Fr. Gregory gives an introduction on the theology of vocation according to the principles of St. Thomas Aquinas. He considers first how Christian identity, vocation, mission, and destiny issue from and return to Trinitarian communion, giving glory to God in the rich beauty of varied and diverse states. He gives special consideration to the role of virtuous desires. In the end it comes down to the question of how each Christian is uniquely suited to tell forth the glory of God. He concludes by ruling out certain bad understandings of vocational discernment and applying the principles to the religious life in particular.
Fr. Gregory Pine OP, an alumnus of Franciscan University of Steubenville, was ordained in May 2016 with 10 other friars at the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception in Washington, DC. For the Dominican Province of St. Joseph (Eastern), this was the largest ordination class in 48 years. Fr. Gregory's bio: https://goo.gl/mvO0fb
