What I'm Feeding My Cows In The Autumn

The diet of my 300 Jersey dairy cows. Today I show you what I feed them in Autumn, it's still a grass based diet with a little bit of supplement fed to keep good condition on the cows as we are coming to the end of our milking season. Feed is also getting a little bit tight as we haven't had any rain for a couple of weeks.

Hey I’m Andrew The Once A Day Farmer, I farm alongside my father on my family dairy farm in New Zealand.
Our Dairy system is quite unique as we only milk our 320 jersey cows Once A Day (hence the name), and they stay outside on grass for 365 days of the year!!
