Rooting Fig Cuttings | Are rooting hormones really needed?

Is rooting tree cuttings possible without rooting hormones? Are these hormones really essential? This rooting experiment was developed to try to respond to that question. A few cuttings of the same fig variety were rooted with and without rooting hormones while trying to maintain all the other factors the same. The results are shown in the video along with all the steps used in the rooting method.
