Trump: "I Won the Debate. Right? PLEASE TELL ME I WON!"
The Damage Report host John Iadarola is joined by Jason Carter, journalist, producer, television personality and host of #JASONUNLEASHED, to break down Thursday’s top stories.
After Tuesday’s disaster, the Commission on Presidential Debates has announced it will be changing the rules for the next two debates. CNN reports Donald Trump was surprised to hear how badly he did on Tuesday’s night. Katie Porter uses her “mighty whiteboard of truth” to eviscerate a pharmaceutical executive over price gouging. An FBI report dated the day of the presidential debate warns of a “violent extremist threat” posed by the far-right militia group the Boogaloos. An internal DHS memo reveals the department’s efforts to portray Kyle Rittenhouse in a sympathetic light. Supreme Court Nominee Amy Coney Barrett has said she will not recuse herself from any cases related to the outcome of the 2020 election. Global data shows 40% (!) of the world’s plant species are at risk of extinction.

"CNN White House correspondent Dana Bash explained that President Donald Trump had no idea that his performance at the first presidential debate on Tuesday had sparked outrage over his incendiary remarks and constant, belligerent interrupting. When his advisers blunty informed him after the event that the consensus, even among Republicans, was that he had not, in fact, “had a great night” as he believed, he was surprised.
During a panel discussion on Anderson Cooper 360 about the inner workings of the Trump campaign in the last 24 hours, Bash reported on the stark disconnect between the president’s own assessment of how he did versus the reality outside of pro-Trump media circles.
“So Dana, you have now reporting about how the president and his team are feeling about the debate,” Cooper noted."
