Police issue statement following shooting at Iowa high school

At least one person has been killed and several others have been wounded at a shooting at an Iowa high school on the first day back from the winter break, ABC News has reported.

An active shooter was reported at Perry High School at 7:37am on Thursday morning and officers arrived seven minutes later, according to Dallas County Sheriff Adam Infante.

He added that officers found multiple people with injuries, but couldn't confirm how many there were or their conditions.
