Labor Day Lightning - September 2, 2019 Electric Storm Over Stearns County, MN

The mesoscale convective system that initiated in northwest North Dakota on September 2nd, 2019 traveled well over 600 miles during its life span crossing through South Dakota, Minnesota, and Wisconsin. The complex of severe storms reached the St Cloud, MN area a little after 9PM, showcasing its electric power. This was undoubtedly the most prolific lightning producing storm I've ever seen in the month of September. This system of severe storms produced at least one tornado in the far western suburbs of Minneapolis near Minnetrista, MN just after 10PM----thankfully I wasn't feeling idiotic enough to pursue a nocturnal mesovortex in populated areas! Praying for all those who have been affected by this destructive event. Thanks for watching and I'll see you all in the next video.
