Relevance of Pitra Puja – Shall we worship Pitras?

Dead family members (ancestors’) or Gurus shall be worshipped or not?

The logic of worshipping any entity is appreciating its good deeds, favours or blessings it has showered onto you. Any entity/personality that has brought positive changes in your life is worthy of being worshipped.

Conversely, if you had bad experiences with a personality such as a Guru or an ancestor(s), worshipping/appreciating them or hanging their photographs in the house would not do any good to you.

So, when we are worshipping someone or hanging their photographs in the house, we are actually worshipping/appreciating their positive vibes and good deeds; not otherwise.
