Join me on the outskirts of Budapest in the funny little land of Békásmegyer as I delve into the second chapter of the Hunyadi Family Saga.

Following up on episode 1 which covered the rise of Hunyadi János, today's episode features the glorious story of the Battle of Nándorfehérvár in 1456 and a look at the incredibly sordid and messy aftermath that followed.

The setting for my retelling of this incredible tale is none other than Békásmegyer! One of the most fascinating neighborhoods in all of Budapest. It is really a city within a city! A forest of communist-era panelház buildings, buffeted by countryside dwellings along the hills of the old village (Ófalu). On today's adventure I stumble around absorbing some incredible sights and meeting some new friends amongst the fantastic pubs of this fascinating district. Much more than meets the eye out in Békásmegyer, that''s for certain.
