Can You Beat Assassin's Creed With Only The Hidden Blade?

With Assassin’s Creed Valhalla right around the corner, I felt nostalgic to go back and revisit the roots of the series. But the first Assassin’s Creed game was different than the ones we know today. Especially the combat. It mostly revolved around countering the enemy’s attacks. You could do this with either your sword, dagger or your hidden blade. This of course led me to the question… Can you beat the first Assassin’s Creed game using only your hidden blade, like a true assassin?
