Yukon River Expedition 2025 - Episode 2 I Atlin Lake - Llewellyn Glacier Hike

Join me on my 2025 Yukon expedition. My plan is to become the first person to complete the entire route of the Yukon—from its true source at the Llewellyn Glacier to its true end at Nunam Iqua on the Bering Sea—in a single summer.

In this episode: We hike to the Yukon glacier and experience magical moments of our lives there. I am accompanied by two Germans who were also there at the time.

Many have tried, but to this day, no one has succeeded.

I’ll answer the big question of whether it’s really possible to complete this 3,200 km route entirely on your own—and by that, I mean truly alone, not like the many people who have travel partners along the way.

At the same time, I'm also trying to set a world record.

A lot happened along the way and I experienced some crazy things, but I survived it all and am so grateful for this unforgettable experience in my life.

It was an exciting and thrilling journey through the wilderness of Canada and Alaska.

I want to emphasize this point: under no circumstances should you undertake a solo expedition into the wilderness of Canada or Alaska. Even though it looks easy in my films, I spent years preparing for such extreme trips and completed the necessary specialized training. Always book a guide and never go on solo trips just because you saw them on social media—otherwise, you could die.
