Red Hood could be seen as a dark reflection of Batman. Batman of course is one of the most popular comic book characters ever, when his trusty new sidekick Robin was introduced in Detective comics 38, Bill Finger and Bob Kane had Hoped that robin, would make the comics appeal more to a younger audience, and reel them in. Considering their sales doubled, id say it was a smart move. Over time Batman has seen a few different types of robin come and go, one of the most noteworthy, being that of Red Hood, Jason Todd.
