The 100-watt Super Kraken is evolved from the much-loved 50-watt VX The Kraken, adding an extra pair of 6L6 valves for double the power, plus three killer new functions.

First is a whole new footswitchable Clean mode, offering high-headroom cleans alongside The Super Kraken's two channels of amazing overdrive.
Second is a new footswitchable Preamp Focus function to add juice and shape to any mode. You can think of it a bit like a Tube Screamer type circuit set with very low gain and high output. Kick it on, it tightens, focusses and boosts.
And of course… there's MIDI switching if you want it, alongside traditional footswitching options.

The amp is mic'd with 1 x Neumann TLM102 and 1 x Sontronics Delta Ribbon on the Victory V212VV 2x12 cabinet (Celestion Vintage 30s), plus a stereo X-Y mic in the room.

The guitars are a PRS Paul's Guitar and Chapman ML3 BEA Baritone.

There are no gain pedals used in this video. All the overdrive you hear is from the amp itself.
